Voici le détail de l'édition limitée du live at the aragon :

Limited Edition Live at the Aragon CD/DVD Bundle

Mastodon will release their first-ever live experience package entitled LIVE AT THE ARAGON on March 15th, 2011.

The set will contain a CD and DVD recorded and filmed live October 19th, 2009, at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. MASTODON: LIVE AT THE ARAGON DVD + CD is comprised of Crack The Skye performed live in its glorious entirety along with fan favorites from Blood Mountain (2006) and Leviathan (2004) plus a brutal cover of “The Bit” by Melvins.

The DVD will also feature a 58 minute tour film titled "Crack The Skye: The Movie" that contains the films which were projected on screen, behind the band in performance.

Limited Edition Bundle includes:
- Live at the Aragon DVD + CD.
- Custom Mastodon Logo Pick Tin with 6 individual DUNLOP TORTEX SHARP picks. Each pick has the official Mastodon logo on one side and each unique album logo on the other. These are the same pick types used officially by Mastodon.

Il va finalement y avoir une sortie physique du Live At Brixton pour le record store day (19 avril). Il s'agira d'un combo 2 LP / DVD :

Mastodon Live At Brixton will be released on limited edition 2LP 180 gram vinyl (2,000 copies only), on Saturday April 19th in honor of this year's Record Store Day.

This special 180-gram vinyl pressing is the only physical version of this special show and includes a DVD of the entire performance.

Je ne suis pourtant pas fan des batteurs, mais c'est à  cause de Brann Dailor que j'ai mis le doigt dans l'engrenage Mastodon.

Une nouvelle preuve qu'il n'y a pas besoin d'avoir un kit monstrueux pour abattre du bon boulot !

A part quelques chansons, j'ai toujours trouvé Mastodon sympa mais pas exceptionnel, mais après une seule écoute pour le moment le dernier album a l'air bien cool

Une seule écoute pour l'instant de Once More 'Round The Sun. On est en territoire connu (le son, le songwriting, les arrangements), mais c'est super bien fait. J'aime, même s'il n'y a pas de surprise. Je ne pense pas, cependant, qu'il détrônera Crack The Skye, mon album préféré.
